Engineered with high-performing three-layer waterproof GORE-TEX, a midfoot stability shank and The North Face’s lightweight SKYCORE rock guard, the new Verto Alpine Mid Boots are perfect for rugged adventures and alpine trekking. Thanks to a durable leather upper with moulded ankle support, protective toe cap and scratch-rubber heel, you’ll benefit from increased support and protection on the approach. The climbing zone at the toe is ideal for edging, while the braking zone at the heel prevents the foot from slipping during steep ascents.

GORE-TEX Upper

Keeping feet dry and comfortable during alpine adventures, the Verto Alpine Mid Walking Boots have a GORE-TEX upper construction, which provides you waterproof, breathable and windproof protection. This high-performing three-layer waterproof fabric is highly durable working to keep feet, as well as shoes highly protected. The boots ensure that feet don’t overheat due to the breathable properties of the materials that surround your feet, supplying your feet with an excellent level of airflow. Working alongside this, the upper is produced using a leather material and a moulded ankle support to further provide feet with extra protection and support. Allowing your toes to remain shielded from knocks and bumps on the approach, the boots have a protective toe cap. Finishing the upper, the boots have a combination of metal and ghillie-lace eyelets, alongside a lace-lock eyelet to provide you with customisable, comfortable support, keeping feet locked in and secure when traversing the outdoors.

EVA Midsole

Featuring a platform of EVA underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning, the Verto GORE-TEX Alpine Mid Walking Boots from The North Face provide comfortable cushioning to spare your joints on tricky terrains. Generous, soft and durable and exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. Paired with this is a rigid stability shank that ensures midfoot support, ideal for use on uneven terrain. As well as this, a lightweight SKYCORE rock guard helps to prevent injury so you can walk with confidence knowing you’ve got added protection below the forefoot.
