Perwanger Leather Upper

Modern styling, light and multifunctional – the Blueridge Low Lady ES is a lightweight hiking shoe for a range of uses, loaded with innovative sustainability features. This includes the use of the durable Perwanger leather used for the upper. The upper of the Blueridge features ‘Global Recycling Standard’ 100% recycled fabric elements and a PFC-free waterproof membrane. The durable suede leather and textile upper is designed to protect your feet from debris and tricky terrain so you can continue with confidence and minimal distractions. This will offer complete protection from any bumps or knocks that you might pick up when out on the trails. Featuring a PFC-free waterproof membrane, the Blueridge Low ES is designed to keep your feet dry on your adventures for ultimate comfort. Waterproof, breathable and sustainable, Hanwag have designed its proprietary PU membrane based on a complex, hydrophilic system that achieves waterproofing and breathability without the use of fluorocarbons. This robust EcoShell PU membrane has been applied in a sturdy 3-layer construction for reliable waterproofing. A 3D-BreathFit tongue with asymmetric padding compensates for the foot’s natural anatomic asymmetry. This thermoformed PU foam tongue adapts to the individual shape of your feet for superior comfort. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that allows you to secure your foot to reduce in-shoe slippage for a stable and confident hike.

Polyurethane Midsole

With a newly developed cushioning and stabilising midsole, the Blueridge Low ES has a three-dimensional structure made of compact and expanded polyurethane. It cups the foot for all-round comfort and a raised edge of the sole made of stabilising PU offers greater support on all sides and at the heel. The unique 3D inner structure of the midsole ensures soft cushioning that works to protect your foot and joints as you strike down on unforgiving surfaces and tricky trails whilst also absorbing shocks for even better protection that allows you to hike faster for longer.

Hanwag Hike Pro Outsole

Featuring a Hanwag Hike Pro outsole, the Blueridge EcoShell Walking Shoes from Hanwag have been designed to be at home on a range of terrain – from damp, autumnal foothills through to sandy, Mediterranean coastal hikes. This non-slip ‘Terragrip’ outsole has been teamed with 4mm deep tread, extra-large lugs and wider contact area to help make the heel strike and roll-off performance effortless and smooth.
